Ref the 2nd photo of a kid with a megaphone on its head: I remember in grammar school we had a teacher who was renowned for being a bit of a bully. If someone misbehaved he'd put the steel waste bin over their head and stand them in the corner, occasionally throwing the board duster at the bin just to ensure they were still awake.
It worked.
Lovely poetry matched with great pictures. It has it all: mystery, melancholy, expectations, emotions, yearning, love - and all wrapped in a "film noir" sensation .;))

i miss those dear old teachers that used to single us out for humiliation and terrorization, cruel and unusual punishments. perhaps they all retired to their basket chairs with tartan blankets and a shawl on the shoulders against the chill of the day.

I love the lightning bolt picture, the stormy sky, the island - mystery and magic (I know it's physics but that's magic to me).
And the heart drawn in the steam ? Bliss. My Prince Frog and I leave messages for each other on steamy windows. But I will not reveal how the windows get steamy.... a kapgaf must retain some of her mystery!
