There's a light, burning in the fireplace...

A clip from one of my favourite movies - The Rocky Horror Picture Show - I sooo wanted to be dark and sexy Magenta, because I could never be as wonderful and sexy as Tim Curry...

Lord knows, how they ever got Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon, even Little Nell, to appear in this movie - Incroyable, non?! But if you've never seen it, and you like mock-schlock-rock-horror musicals and parody, then check it out, mes bloggy cineastes...

Meatloaf also makes a scheduled, and memorable appearance... As I did last night, visiting the Ladyboys of Bangkok, of all things, in Newcastle in a plastic pavilion next to the famed Centre for Life (academic research into genetics and also a fun place for kids to visit if you're ever in town).

More laters, mes bloggy corset-wearers! Yikes!

Fhina exits stage left singing, 'I am what I am...' a la Priscilla Queen of the Desert...

Rent one of these movies this weekend, mai dahlinks, if you've never seen them, and you're liberally inclined... Merci mille!

I love Rocky Horror! I always wanted to be Columbia, though now I think Magenta has way better Halloween Costume opportunities...

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert - a great movie and one I have on video. In fact, I shall dig it out and watch it again with the wife; we bothed loved it when we saw it at the cinema.

Little known fact: I once sat next to Terence Stamp, naked save a little towel, in a Turkish bath in London about 20 years ago. We chatted for a while - nice man.

Saucy Fhina!

Maybe I should rethink my wardrobe for Willow's Ball. What do you say?

The Lady Boys must have been running for a while as my mother saw them there ages ago. She wasn't too impressed, but other people must be or they'd have closed it down.

lakeviewer: Bless you, ciara x

Undercover caterer: I may have got the names wrong - The lovely lady with the huge red hair and fabulously Goth make-up... Which one was that? I'm probably far closer to Christopher Biggins, in any case ;)

Dumdad: Priscilla, Queen of the Desert - is one of my husband's favourite films I must admit... Get some popcorn in, Sir, hope you have a wonderful evening with Madame la Grenouillette. What a tale about Terence Stamp - What a legend! What exciting experiences you've had in this life, Sir!

Derrick: I think you would make a fabulous Franken Furter! Definitely something in red, or that lovely powder blue I've seen you wearing - What think you?

Expat mum: I think they have - And they all work very hard, I must admit - It was an odd experience and we had a good laugh - it was a full house, mainly women in wine, but some men who were treated as 'fair bait' really... Odd, and gave me a real flavour about what some of the bars in Bangkok must be like? x
