...And he was just like a great dark wing.

I was recently influenced by another blogger, Belgian Waffle, raving about her love of a new eye-shadow by NARS, called 'Aigle Noir...' (CLICKIE)

You know what a romantic Fhina is, non?! So she just couldn't resist,

1) The recommendation of a hallowed bloggerista...
2) A beauty product named 'Black Wing'
3) Something that was going to make me irresistable to the opposite sex.

...Well, "Ca va sans dire"***, right?!

So when I was layering the dark shadow look liberally on my eyes one morning last week before work. ...And GJ walked into the room, (usually I put my make-up on in the car while he's driving, when he's not as observant!), and asked me,

"What the hell is that you've got on your eyes??!"

And I tweet,

"It's a new eye-shadow, "Aigle Noir,""

(Which he'd understand because his late mother was a French teacher, bien sur...)

And I dared to add,

"Why, what's wrong with it?"

"There's nothing wrong with it", he chuntered...

"...If you're a panda."

Sometimes I don't know why I even bother...

Where's that paper bag?!

*** French for "That goes without saying..."

Ahhh boys! When will they ever learn? I've decided to just ignore mine - because he knows not of what he speaks. That's my theroy and I'm sticking to it!

Hahaha....I found Mr. Unplugged's twin, everyone has one, ya know.....my reply to his ridiculus comments is usually, you are still a 5th grader (which is a 10 yr. old usually). Men, so true, can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.

Hi Fhina,

As one of those MEN you've all been maligning, might I just say that pandas look quite cute!

The mistake was in asking 'why'. I gave up doing that when they were to bluntly honest, as in 'yes your bum does look big in that!. And I now carry my own paper bag with me at all times!

Sounds like someone needs as smack upside the head (I kid!) - got a kick out of this story too. I have heavy eyelids and have to be careful or I too would resemble that panda.

Boys are so funny sometimes, I'm sure you looked great!

just stopping in to say that "Aigle Noir" means "Black Eagle." "Aile Noire" would be "Black Wing".

Have fun with it whatever it's called.
