God's gonna cut you down...

As well as my music, I wanted to share this with you, that I left as a comment over at Belgian Waffle's recently...

We were asked to bare all about the things that were hacking us off at the moment, so I thought it might give you an insight into some of what is going on in my head.

It's a little more full at the mo'...

1. Worry that, after years of criticizing other people for being control-obsessives, that I Googled it and found I was pretty OCD myself (mainly the obsession part, so not even the pleasant part of 'compulsion' meaning that at least my house would be clean - Glauque doesn't quite describe it!) ('Glauque' is apparently French for sordid!)

2. Worry about my son failing his exams and it's all my, faux middle-class, relaxed parenting, fault.

3. The Posh Boys (commonly known as Cameron and Clegg)

4. That The Posh Boys are about to shut down my office because I'm a 'fat-
cat'.

5. Not being a fat-cat.

6. Not having a 'gold-plated' pension.

7. Fear of not getting my due amount of redundancy money if they are intent on getting rid of us, which at least would keep Dr Capybara/the wolf from the door.

8. Not ever being able to afford the £1m that would enable me to buy the farm-house, outbuildings and land of my dreams today to develop a wonderful holiday business.

Poor me, non??! Cheques can be made payable to Her Whingeship, c/o The Poorhouse, Pity Street, In Despair, The Doldrums.

Snicker...

Have you seen this?

From a couple of years ago...

The Man In Black, captured in eyes and glances, music and chances, with some of my favourite, famous people...

Whatever you believe, there is always this...

If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

You can run on for a long time, but sooner or later...

Life will bite you in the arse, when you least expect it...

So true. Life does have a way of biting you.....

And the failing of exams? (so going there right now) Not your fault as you aren't the one taking the exam. That's my motto (as the mother of one who just failed a major exam....)

Loved the record. Never worry about what you can't change.

Look at life like Kahlil Gibran, who said 'Every end is a new beginning'...

Gotta love Johnny!
I'm sorry you've been worried... but on a bright note... your blog is so beautiful. I want to be sitting at that table with the gnomes.

Not being able to afford a farm house, you don't have to keep it mended, you don't have to resist having lots of animals (and their cleanup), you don't have to labor in the hot sun over a garden that sounded just the right size in the Spring, but not is a burden.

As for your son's exams: how they turn out depends on him. Teach him to be responsible for what he does.

I hope your day is beginning to look up.
