Reverie...

I'm not sure where this lovely picture came from, so I'm sorry I can't credit it...

It just sums up the wonderful thought of 'reverie' to me - Being lost in one's thoughts, alone but not lonely - At one with one's self.

I like to hope I've got there, after many years of wondering. I can get lost in my own world - Grief, bitterness, anger frustration and a long lack of forgiveness. All of these emotions can drag you down into a thick bog of treacly matter, until you are no longer able to see a way clear - You are quite firmly stuck! Unable to move forward, or on. Energies sucked from your body, like air from a balloon.

Gradually, once you 'get a grip' of yourself, after learning and grasping what these feelings can do to you, your body, these damaging sentiments can finally begin to moulder and drop away like long-dead leaves, leaving you free you to re-consider your bold, 'bad' self once more.

Who am I?

Who are you?

Do we dare to dream things might be different this year?

I think a spider just crept down the side of my face - Time to sprint from the sofa!

Hello! I stumbled over here from someone else's blog. What a beautiful picture and 'Alone without being lonely' is such a wonderful state. Hopefully 2011 will be filled with such reveries (preferably without the spider!)

You`re absolutely right about that negativity dragging you down - my Mother`s lived like that for years, she`ll be 80 on Friday! Thankfully, you can live and learn from your Mother`s mistakes! Love the new header - is it a self-portrait?lol

Yes! Time to embrace all that I am and move forward!! My word for this year is "achieve"!! So I can't be having negative thoughts burying me..I need to be free to accomplish my goals!!
A spider on your face.....yikes!! Run girl, run!!

Letting go of grief, bitterness and anger is very hard - but, oh so, freeing!

Having a spider creep down the side of your face? Well, that just makes all introspective thoughts go flying out of your head due to the incredible *eek* factor.

Thank you for this post. I agree that bitterness makes us bitter and a simple smile can do a miracle.
I would love to stay under your pink Umbrella:)
