A Caruso...

This song brought me back to some fond memories this week - Des memoirs about living in France with a French/Italian family during two school exchange visits...

Merci Violaine et Enza, wherever life has taken you, mes belles...

I hope you like it too, mes bloggy reves.

A couple of years ago I was driving somewhere, the radio was on, the sun was shining and I was quite content. Then the music changed and his song began. I'd never heard it before nor could I understand a word but I had to pull the car over as my eyes filled with tears so that I could not see to drive safely.
I finally found it again on a CD of Luciano Pav. and I play it again and again. The melody is so haunting, and the words...well, now I know why I cried.

Something I wrote earlier...
