I am battle-weary with filling in job application forms at the moment...
Do employers not understand that it takes hours, HOURS, to complete just one and it is such a fierce employment market that, unless your application hits all the nails on the head, you are cast into a fiery pit of unloveduppedness?
It is years since I was out on the jobs market. Nearly 25 in fact.
From some employers, I hear nothing. From others, that I have made the 'first cut' - Good. I rarely make the second, and so:
From others - a very small number - that they've granted me an interview at which I'm obviously going to fail miserably, because they seem to want a cross between Reece Witherspoon in Elephants Like Water, and Dolly Parton in Seven To Six...
J'en ai marre, I tell you.
What has a girl (well, middle-aged fembot-not) to do?
Advice below, please? Cheers, me dears!

Hello Fhina:
These are indeed such difficult times and the whole process of seeking employment can be so depressing and, as you say, terribly time consuming.
Still, as they say, faint heart never wins fair maiden [or something like that]. We wish you well!!
The ones who can't use the simple cv to estimate your worth are a pain in the arse. Page after page of how you fit each requirement and examples of proof.
A plague on them.
Oh dear. Can't really think of anything, other than perhaps find a networking group to see if there are any word-of-mouth jobs. Sometimes if you know someone who knows someone, it helps you get a little bit further.
Stick with it - there is one with your name on it out there somewhere.

meditate and manifest, the universe is listening too!
I feel your pain, as I am usually the one stuck filling out the online applications for Hubby. First they ask that you upload the resume. Done. Then they want you to answer all the questions - which are all addressed in the resume! Arrrggghhhh!
At any rate, I've got everything crossed for both of you and am hoping that something hits soon! (Tis hard to type with crossed fingers!)
Keep your head high...your enthusiasm bubbling...your confidence soaring....your clothing impeccable...know you are more than qualified!!!
My fingers are crossed for you and prayers going up right now
Hugs
