I love that last picture. It reminds me of the many nights I sat alone outside, looking up at the sky, and waiting for the world to change.

It has.

Have a wonderful weekend, my dear Fhina!

Hi Fhina,

There is nothing better than sitting under an African sky and losing oneself in the beauty of the zillions of stars!

I love watching the stars Fhina!

Beautiful creations that we know so little about, something soothing and gratifying in the viewing of them. I even take walks in the warm midnights of our summers and stare up endlessly (although I'm sure passerbys think I look a fool walking and looking up at the sky with not a care of the goings on around me). But then, I was never really one to care what others thought just so long as I get to enjoy the beauty of the world around me...one just has to be open to see it sometimes.

The sky leaves us speechless, drowned in its immense mystery and beauty beyond proportions.

I love that last one too! I've been trying to figure out what medium it is. Almost looks like oil pastels. lovely.

Star gazing is one of my favorite things to do! We live in the desert where no street lighting is permitted because of the observatory nearby. We see millions of stars every night...it's simply breathtaking!

Ma chère FSI,

Je suis un enfant de la lune, a Moon Merryweather, if you will. Stargazing is a way of life. Stargazer lillies are my favourite cultivated flowers.

I don't know who Kelly is but I will certainly be watching the stars tonight.

Star gazing!

It does not get any better than that right???

LOVE YOU!!!

I wish I could say that I love star gazing - but honestly, it kind of fills me with anxiety. At least real star gazing does. It's the Taurus in me - I like to keep both of my feet firmly planted on that ground. Looking up into the stars makes me feel like I may fall right up into them. Or - maybe it's the city girl in me - city skies look much closer and the stars are just bright shadows of their true incarnations.

Whenever I have a chance to look up at the stars...I always feel that just as the stars are firmly fixed, so am I. It is a very affirmative experience to me. Thanks for this reminder.

I love the images. The Irish red damsel staring at the grey welkin... the dreamer in the starry tree... I identify with the latter. I love to climb up fantastical trees and wander off in my thoughts.
Unfortunately where I live these flights of fantasy (and ascents) are hindered by surrounding city chaos.
Ciao deat Fhina, have a superb weekend.

These images are beautiful and made me wish I could get out in the country and do some sky and star gazing.

I was going to say, can I be that red headed woman laying in the leaves? Can I? But I think I'd rather be the moon faced woman in the tree.

Three beautiful pictures, each enchanting in its own way.

Thanks, Fhi.

Bold Blognut: For the better with you in it, my friend - Every day, every way - All my love, Fhi xxx

Derrick: Ah - Africa, Derrick... Last night, I dreamed of Africa... ;)

findingmywingsinlife: Don't we all, sweet one? You left such a beautiful comment, Rab/Clay, I shall leave it here twice...

lakeviewer: Veritas, Rosaria!

Ribbon: Merci, bella x

Ribbon: And Oscar - Two kisses for you, both cheeks! xx

Jewels: It is a lovely picture - sort of naif, and I don't know what the medium is either, sorry... Seems as if it could be pastels to me, as you say... x

Bee and Rose: Sounds stunning, thankyou for sharing that... We have no street lighting here in the countryside, but more and more farms and folk are erecting their own, and we see less and less of the stars, it's such a shame... x

Alicia @ boylerpf: "Soothing...relaxing...inspiring..." Just like your blog, sweetie! x

kapgaf: We can be Sisters of the Moon together, chere kapgaf... And your favourite fleurs - Mine too! Quelle surprise! Kelly watch the stars is the song by French band, Air, from their first album, Moon Safari - Very relaxing music, great vibe... x

Michelle: True, my friend! Love you crazily! x

Kate Coveny Hood: I am sorry to hear that, dear Kate... Soem people are just made for the city, non - Nothing wrong with that! x

FireLight: Bienvenue! Being rooted in the stars is a very interesting concept, and I am very pleased you shared that with us here...

Lola: The images are here because I too identify with their beauty, and want to rub myself in them, as a dog might do with a new scent! ;) My husband used to climb trees just like you - I am so clumsy, I would just tumble back out again like a fool! x

Pouty Lips: Thank you, glad you liked them. Poutress... Hope you achieve your goal! x

Woman in a Window: She is everywoman, non?! You are she, she is you, and moi aussi! xo

Rob-bear: Hello sweet gentle-bear - Thank you for stopping by, not-Sir x
