Fill in the blanks...

Come visit Northumberland's Holy Island of Lindisfarne... This is my little haven of peace and tranquillity on the ancient Northumbrian coastline, famed for its fogs, its electricity and its reputation as the hidden jewel in England's crown...

I hope you like it... And you'll let me know, right?!

And if you missed my madness yesterday, please feel free to come and see Fhina over at Mad Manic Mamas...

...where I was twittering on about my son, Grizz, taking his driving test later this month... Fingers crossed, please!

Hi Fhina,

lovely film and music. I must make an effort to see Lindisfarne. Especially as "our" St. Cuthbert managed it!

Z: Thank you, my darling - Hope you're well?! x

Derrick: 'Your' St. Cuthbert? 'Grizz, hold me cardigan!' x

Beautiful but whenever I hear the word Lindisfarne I think of the 70's band with songs like "Fog on the Tyne" and "Meet me on the Corner." Shows my age!

Dumdad: I know! I still see a bit of Rod Clement who wrote and still performs Meet Me On The Corner - He's still a very active performer and lives quite near to me! 'The biggest band that never was', was Lindisfarne - They should have been massive...

I go past Lindisfarne on the train going to Scotland. I've promised myself a visit as it looks wonderful.
Does it get crowded though?? Thanks for the clip, it was lovely. xxxx

Dusty Spider - I would recommend staying on the Island, as it has a different feel altogether when cut off by the tide...

It does get busy during the summer months - And it quietens at other times of year, but staying on the Island, which sort of has its own milder climate, amazingly, is different altogether... Idyllic.

Nice to see you DS, hope you're looking after yourself, dahlink! x

I love Holy Island.. My other half took me last year as i'm a Yorkshire Lass and before meeting my Geordie fella, had no idea how gorgeous it is in these parts ( I'm up in Tyne & Wear just now)

Fantastic in Northumberland.. i'd reccommend everyone to visit.. just not all at once ;-)

Tracey: Glad you could visit twice, my pet! So pleased that you like it so much - It is a beautiful and overlooked county - Yorkshire is very lovely too, I know... Welcome and come back again, dahlink!
