Houseboats
Styx - Boat On the River
Take me back to my boat on the river
I need to go down, I need to come down
take me back to my boat on the river
and I won't cry out anymore...
Time stands still as I gaze in her waters
...she eases me down, touching me gently
with the waters that flow past my boat on the river
so I don't cry out anymore
oh the river is wide
the river it touches my life like the waves on the sand
and all roads lead to tranquillity base
where the frown on my face disappears
take me down to my boat on the river
and I won't cry out anymore
Oh the river is deep
the river it touches my life like the waves on the sand
and all roads lead to tranquillity base
where the frown on my face disappears
take me down to my boat on the river
I need to go down, won't you let me go down
take me back to my boat on the river
and I won't cry out anymore
and I won't cry out anymore
and I won't cry out anymore...

This is a lovely post/poem making us all wish we had a houseboat to escape long, dreary days.
This post was just like a little vacation!
Bloggus
XXOOXX
Reminds me, I must go back to the boat soon to repair all the shit that goes horribly wrong on boats, and when things go wrong on boats it's very expensive.
Two places I have always wanted to live...An attic in Montmartre [where I would be a penniless artist] or a houseboat moored anywhere [and be a penniless artist] Why my fantasy couldn't have me be a rich and famous artist I dunno.
Lovely pictures.
Mr FF has a racing catamaran but it is not as romantic as the concept of a houseboat - mind you I hate being on water so you'd not get me on either
You must have done a lot of forward planning to have set up all these blogposts in your absence. Hope your holiday is good
Houseboats are a beautiful way to live, thanks for the post.
