Love And Money...

spend Pictures, Images and Photos

No, I didn't just disappear off the face of the earth after my Geburtstag, mes Beautiful Bloggy Bairns!

I've been sitting here, reading your lovely blogs and fabulousss comments, and gloating...

Well, not quite gloating. Not smug at all, no... Moi?

I've been spending money... Well, it's Chrimbo after all, and it's traditional, n'est-ce-pas??! And it's been my birthday, and it's GJ's next month and Grizzler's early in February thereafter... Combine this time of year, and the burden it places upon my pockets and over-stuffed purse, with my father-and sister-in-law's birthdays, together with those of two godchildren, two best friends in October, not to mention my late mother's and father's and Chrimbo for me has always been a pretty cash-poor time.

As it is for so many of us at this time of year, when we have tendencies to over-splurge... Even when you're sensible, (and some of Grizz's and GJ's small stash of pressies came from second-hand bookshops and charity stores this year), it's still a time when we tend to over-extend, over-indulge and over-look the fact that the world doesn't come to an end on January 1st!

My kind bank has even sent me a new debit (read 'ATM') card, even 'though my old card doesn't expire until late autumn 2010!

Are they expecting my card to melt into a molden lump in the hands of one of the shop-staff some time soon? YIKES!

I think I deserve an explanation.

Ciao, mes bloggy Bad Pennies... Je vous aime tant... Ahhhhh... And saying 'I love you' costs nothing at all, does it??!

How kind of your bank to make sure you had that new card in plenty of time so there is no possibility of a lapse in your spending ;-)

Shopping is good therapy...and it was nice of your bank to make sure your card will weather the shopping storm!! You have a back-up!!! Cool!!

You need to shop more because I am shopping less and I need to be balanced out somehow. So I hereby bequeath to you my shopping for lovely things duties and you must fulfil this burden I'm afraid

Being that I'm STILL unemployed, our Xmas money came from all the change we've dumping in a vase all year long - so the fam won't do too badly. Merry merry!

I'm just laughing at your ALfred Hitchcock quote about the length of movies. I'll be watching ten minute mini-movies with my thinble bladder then.

Yeah, you have me to thank for that! I told your bank to look out for you and to make sure you had your replacement card in hand before the old one disintegrates. I'm so nice like that, Fhina!
