Are you unwritten? Comments, or non!

Just for those who are interested and who have asked...

The new header picture is Edie Bouvier Beale of Grey Gardens fame. Do you remember when I said that this year of blogging was to have a Grey Gardens theme to it, like last year's Scarlett Jo?!

Well, there you are!

CLICKIE

I love the lyrics and British market video here, sung and written by the wonderfully talented Natasha Bedingfield, Daniel's sister...

GJ, Grizz and I had the pleasure of seeing Natasha at one of our smaller theatres in Newcastle a few years back, on the brink of what has become a little glittering career...

She was accompanied by her fabulous stable-mate and some-time beau of Amy Winehouse, and still sadly unsigned, Tyler James... Here:

What I like about Natasha's words is that they are so true of all of us, n'est-ce-pas, that parts of us are still unformed, still very much in development, remaining 'unwritten'...

I know I'm not finished yet.

How 'bout you?

"I am unwritten. Can't read my mind, I'm undefined
I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand,
Ending unplanned...
Staring at the blank page before you, open up the dirty window,
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find...

Reaching for something in the distance, so close you can almost taste it.
Release your inhibitions. Feel the rain on your skin...
No-one else can feel it for you,
Only you can let it in...
Today is where your book begins.
The rest is still unwritten...

Finally, will you tell me something? Whisper it in my ear, mes bloggy cotton-buds!

I have got into the bad habit of talking to you'ses through your own blogs (albeit sometimes sporadically, mea culpa...) rather than by responding to your comments, which I dearly treasure...

And I got to wondering, which do you prefer?

Do you come back to see if I do respond to comments, and have I unwittingly been letting you down, or are you happy to be long-distance pen-pals, like cruise ships that pass in the night??!

Please whisper in my shell-like?

Please spill les haricots...

(The french beans, silly!)

Your wish is my command - Alla-shazam, says the sexy genie!

Rub the lamp!

Grey gardens and Edie and her mom..so fascinating..such a curious life.
Something about this post is very light and happy, and Natasha singing that song always makes me think of my daughter watching a TV programme (The Hills)about rich bored young american girls.
As for me I revisit comments...but I think this is partly being OCD, and seeing what other people have said. ps.love the background to your blog.

I don't mind the Natasha Bedingfield song except I get very stabby when she pronounces 'hyperbole' not as it should be pronounced 'high-per-bo-lee' but as 'highper-bowl'. AAARRRGGGHHHHHH.......

Hey my sweet! Pen pals is fine with me. Because I don't find my way back in the night to see if you responded to me.
I enjoy you, my sweet and your visits to my blog will do very nicely.
Thank you for caring about me and my feelings. You are such a dear friend.
Hugging you

Hi Fhina,

Well, I know I certainly enjoyed your visit to my place yesterday! Must admit, I had missed your rapturous, romantic, rapier responses. But once we know the system, it doesn't really matter which one you choose. I really like the written lyrics you've given us today.

I stop by, I go, sometimes I check comments and sometimes not. Less like the more luxurious cruise ship and more like the otter or maybe just jellyfish catching the current. It's all good.

Love the photo of Edie, she reminds me sadly of my daughter, beautiful and bright and vivacious and troubled.

I'm an email-behind-the-scenes freak. Going back to blogs to read comments is ok if you are only following a few, but gets impossilbe if you're an inveterate Blogland visitor. The days (and nights) are too short! LOL :)

The song reminded me of a male Lily Allen - okayish, but I wouldn't download it.

As for comments - I always go back to a blog to see what (or if) there is a response to what I've left - and then sometimes I respond to my response and then I don't bloody shut up.

It's your blog, lovely Fhi - you do what makes you happiest

xx
