This made me smile...

I heard this song on the radio this week... From Mika, Michael Holbrook Penniman, one of my favourite artistes, but this pretty ditty of his had passed me by before now.

I last blogged about Mika HERE. Back a year, last summer, when I was all fired up about training in Liverpool to become a Workplace Mediator...

I never quite got to put those skills into practice, as such... And, you know I have been feeling a little glum of late, given that the Government has announced it wants to abolish me.

The cheek!

And I had begun to obsess about losing my house.

Silly me! Talk about exaggerated thoughts!

And I was finding it very hard to concentrate on anything: Reading - Blogs and Books; Writing - Blogs and Comments; Sleeping - In and At All... Eating - I've lost 5lbs. (Yayyy!) Living - In the Present.

And Mika came along and made my miserable fizzog crease upwards into a rare slight smile while I was driving home.

...So did this video, that I found on Youtube - Hope you love it too.

Sometimes we need to be told that we are being daft. Not to over-think things. To stop obsessing.

What's the matter with you?

Tell me. Dr Fhina is listening, and no longer listing like a bleedin' damaged barge...

Your heart is broken
To your surprise
You’re sick of crying
For blue eyes
So tired of living
Misunderstood
Think hard, woman
I think you should

Come, sorrow is so peculiar
It comes in a day, then it’ll never leave you
You take a pill, wonder if it will fix you
They wonder why sorrow has never left you

I’m talkin’ bout blue eyes, blue eyes
What’s the matter, matter
Blue eyes, blue eyes
What’s the matter matter
so blind, so blind
What’s the matter, matter
Blue eyes, blue eyes
What’s the matter with you?

Ohh, you’ll wind up broken
At the end of the round
Won’t find your spirit
In a lost and found
Oh I’ve been watching
How you behave
Not much like a lover
More like a slave

Come, sorrow is so peculiar
It comes in a day, then it’ll never leave you
You take a pill, wonder if it will fix you
They wonder why sorrow has never left you

I’m talkin’ bout blue eyes, blue eyes
What’s the matter, matter
Blue eyes, blue eyes
What’s the matter matter
so blind, so blind
What’s the matter, matter
Blue eyes, blue eyes
What’s the matter with…

Blue eyes, blue eyes
What’s the matter matter
Blue eyes, blue eyes
What’s the matter matter
so blind, so blind
What’s the matter, matter
Blue eyes, blue eyes
What’s the matter with you?
What’s the matter with you?
What’s the matter with you?

Oh I'm glad you found a reason to smile.

My perspective has come back due to a friend being held hostage on a boat which is less good, but I'm glad you got yours through a song.

Though to be honest I think you were allowed to feel glum a while because of those things. They are doozies.

Glad you`ve perked up a bit sweetie - I can`t get my head around the fact that this Government is putting into place measures to get everyone in the land working, even if they have to hobble there on crutches, while at the same time laying-off perfectly nice folk like yourself!Madness!

p.s. I love Mika - especially his homage to `curvier` ladies.
