Turn a different corner, and we never would have met...

cherry Pictures, Images and Photos

...Sometimes, we just need a different perspective on life, don't we, mes bloggy cerises...

To embrace change; To be challenged, and to see things differently...

To have 'another bite at the cherry...'

Live dangerously, n'est-ce-pas?!

Well, not too dangerously, of course.

...Apres tous, and apres-ski, I don't want to lose you, mes bloggy present participles...

Mwah! Big kiss!

...That's it!

Turn the other cheek to me... That's just right, comme les baguette-under-arm, nibbling the end of the bread as they promenade, Francaises...

Mwah, mes bloggy Zombie Chicklets! Woof!

WTF!?! Pictures, Images and Photos

Those cherries are so incredible they look unreal. A deapth-of-field masterpiece. I want a big lizard!

Hi Fhina,

Readymade Maraschino cherries - but it's a tad early at the moment! Looks as if the croc/'gator may already have had a go at the wee woofer at the bottom of the pic! Who are these people?!!

kapgaf said...

Oh, these are les cerises sur le gâteau !

See you later, alligator.

Bises tout plein

AAARRRGGGHHH!!! Change is exhausting, my dear Fhina. Absolutely exhausting. But then, sometimes staying the same is even worse. One thing I do know, (I know nothing), is that it's often better to be the cause of your own change, rather than waiting for the universe to slap you alongside the head with its own version of change. I'm glad I turned the corner that brought me to you!

Love to you,
Bloggus

timing is everything - I think that is one of the phrases I love the best, thus your post title made me smile- it's the same thing said a bit differently

I agree with Blognut, change is exhausting but better to see things from a different perspective from time to time, it keeps us fresh and live. No pain, no gain. xxx

And then the croc ate the dogs.

I like to eat cherries while hanging upside down on the jungle gym... it gives me a wonderful new perspective (of course, it could be all the blood rushing to my head that makes it look so good... either way, it's cool! ;) XO

You are a wonder, Ms. Fhina!

Wow! One bite from the gator and the little pooch is history!..lol No so sure feeding them together is a good idea. Dog might be mistaken for a meal!

Love the expression about experiencing challenges of life. Often times we become content, complacent, too comfortable. Challenges help us to appreciate what we have, where we headed, where we could be.

Look at all you provoked today. You crack me up, continually changing persona. You're just a riot to be with. Now, don't be surprised if you appear in one of my stories!

So, are those maraschino cherries? I've never seen them anywhere but in a jar before. I always assumed they were colored with food coloring, but those look about as I've seen them. Amazing.

I am glad I turned the corner to find you facing me (or was it the other way around?). Thanks!

La jinksy: Do you think there is a market, my sweet, in Yorkshire Terrier skin shoes? The horror, the horror! You make me laugh and think a lot, jinksy! x

Butler and Bagman: Sirs, it is a veritably stunning image - I hadn't realised they were maraschino - I thought they might have been photoshopped - I live in a very wet country (mostly wet anyway), and I've never seen their like this far north! The happiest I have ever seen my husband on holiday was when he was able to hold a big lizard! The childlike glee was lovely to see.

Protege: You could be so right, darling Z - As for a cocktail - Please can you make enough for two - Mine's a Bloggy Margarita, many thanks! x

Derrick: Like I said, D, I hadn't realised these were Maraschinos... I was always fascinated by the jar of sweet cherries at my aunt and uncle's new year parties when I was wee - The (very weak) snowballs complete with cherries were what got me started on liquor, methinks ;)

kapgaf: In a while, darling crocodilien! x

lizspin: You have it, my treasure! x

Michelle: What you said, sweetie, right back at you! One hundredfold! I am pleased I can be there for you, and hope you are restored to your strong and wonderful self, my NYC chicklet? xxooxx

Bloggus Nuttus: I know, and as they are now saying, 'Change is the new constant...' We may not always welcome it, but we learn something new about ourselves (and it's usually positive, but not always...), each and every time, I always think...

And you are so right, my dear Bloggus - It's better to jump than be pushed - I've jumped ahead into the unknown prior to the world changing for the worst around me a few times now at a variety of offices... I'll be waiting around every corner now I've found you my little sis', and not in a stalky way, in a good way, I promise! ;) xxooxx

FF: I am pleased I helped you to smile, gentle FF... x

Reasons: Change is definitely traumatic at times, and always energy-sapping, non... I just think we can sometimes live too long with our comfort blankets held tightly to our cheeks like lovely Linus, and unless we make, sometimes very small, changes, we do get stuck in negative patterns and ruts in the road, and we stop learning and grow shallow and stagnant... It's important to try to see the positives of change, even if we don't always agree with it at the moment - That's the space I'm in at the mo', and I need to deal with it.... xxx

g.: Welcome, g! That's what I call my son, for short! The initial of his nickname! ;)

LPC: Welcome in, LPC - Noooooo, the little babycroc never eats the dogs - They are so sweet - The croc survives and becomes a logo on a polo shirt I bought my then boyfriend, now husband, when I was an au pair in la belle France in 1984... It cost me a week of my wages then - but in time, my son got to wear it - It lasted for over 20 years - Incroyable!

Diane: You never fail to surprise me, Diane! I used to love getting into, and lying down, floating, in the soft play ball pool when Grizz was little, I must admit - And yet I never hung downside up from a jungle gym... I've never lived! :) xxx

Shabstress: There you are! Lovely to see you and thank you! xx

Presious: The woozles will be fine - Nothing horrid happens in the World of La Fhina, I can tell you - She might get melancholy, cry a bit, go a little more mad than she currently is, and la Wiki threatens her with ex-communication, but that's about as far as The Horror goes, I pwomise! x

lakeviewer: Rosaria, you are such a stimulus for us, my bella - I would love to be in one of your wonderful tales - You can tell I thrive on drama and love, non?! Here we sometimes say, 'There's no show without Punch!' ;) xx

Suldog: Sir, please read what I wrote above in the comments - I too had not realised that these were maraschinos, and I've never seen them in aught but glass jars, as you say - They are lovely looking though, aren't they? x

Whitemist: I can tell we are going to be close, my friend! x

Not sure how I managed to stumble in here, but I'm glad I did. Love that picture, and I'm SO hungry now.

And though my French is rusty, that sure did read good.

Wow aren't you full of hidden maraschino depths today!

Oh goodness! I love that crazy perspective the gator has - it thinks it's a dog, except that it's not eating dog food... (Looks more like.. eggs?!)

Crazy Charm: You're welcome, and crazy charms are my favourite! :)

Billy Coffey: That's all part of my siren lure, Sir! No-one ever knows how they got here, but as the Eagles said, 'You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave! Be warned, and just ask if you need anything translated - and I'll try my best!

Brit' Gal Sarah: How sweet you are, just like a cherry! x

ladyfi: The little gator is very coll, non?!! Have a fabulous weekend, ladyfi x
