Darling LV - bless you for caring and I love you for this and for all your intelligence, wit and charm! I only need to go to London a couple of times per month and other cities occasionally for meetings... On the whole, my daily round-trip is normally only up to 2 (and sometimes an extra half) hours per day from home to Newcastle... The distance isn't that far, but the traffic gets heavier and heavier... So long days like this are not my everyday necessity, but I have noticed that I am getting more tired with travel as the years wear on... I wish I only had a 10 minute commute or something like that, but where we choose to live, lovely as it is, out in the sticks, there are no employment opportunities for me...
Bless you once again, and have a wondrous weekend my dear friend xox

Abandon all hope, ye who enter here...
Come in and feel the beat of my wild heart. It's the only one I have.
I share my life with my Teen Terrorist son, Grizz, who gives me more grey hairs than my Colourist can cope with, and my railway-mad husband of 23 years, GJ.
I'm not a niche blogger, I am mad, bad, dangerous to know, and I intend to share the overwhelmingly random things that make me tick, if you choose to settle for a while on that red velvet chaise longue over there in the gas-lit corner of my mind...
Life is random, and so is my blog.
Life can be short, something you can never say about my writing!
Welcome friend. Tell me your secrets...

Good to see you in great form. I'm still worried about your six hours on the road going to and from work.

Is she truly mad,
the woman in the attic?
Or does she pretend?
My Six Words
Barking!
Aren't we all (not women but barking mad!)
depending on why she is there,it could be a good thing?
Mad? Never, Fhina!
And when did you take up living in the attic?
So much travelling....it's an austerity that has to be done, no? I hope you travel safe always, Fhina...always....xo
Glad that you sound in better spirits. Shame about all the travelling you have to do.
xx
p.s hope the work life balance is getting better and that your back feels stronger.
Oooh, I love shiny things! Rest up, sounds like you've been quite busy.
